The Three Tier System


The Three Tier system was developed to provide a structure for accountable oversight and responsible stewardship of student funding that provides opportunity for student-led organizations on campus. Forms can be found on the Forms page.

Privileges

Tier 1:

  • Yearly funding requests up to $250
  • Appropriate use of CSM logos, names, etc
  • Name and contact info on Student Activities website
  • Information in Calendar and What’s Happening e-mails
  • Access to SA arts and publicity supplies
  • Eligible for Tier 1 Organization of the Year 

Tier 2:

  • All Tier 1 Privileges
  • Yearly funding up to $2500
  • Eligible for storage locker
  • Eligible for mailbox at Student Activities
  • Eligible to hold events with alcohol
  • Eligible for marquee space
  • Eligible for Tier 2 Organization of the year

Tier 3:

  • All Tier 2 Privileges
  • No specified yearly funding limit
  • Eligible for Special Program Funding
  • Eligible to reserve Student Center rooms for the following semester after the midterm of the current semester (only for special events)
  • Eligible for office space
  • Eligible for Tier 3 Organization of the Year

Responsibilities

Tier 1:

  • Organization Registration Form due at the beginning of each year and after Officer Transitions
  • Submit meeting dates/times to Student Activities

Tier 2 (Forms):

  • All Tier 1 Responsibilities
  • Goals Form due each Fall
  • Goals Evaluation Form due each Spring
  • Perform 1 Service Event each year
  • Service Event Evaluation Form Due each Spring
  • Attend 75% of BSO meetings

Tier 3 (Forms):

  • All Tier 2 Responsibilities
  • Perform 3 Service Events each year (one Campus, one Community and one of either)
  • 3 Service Event Evaluation Forms due each Spring
  • Maintain a club website
  • Attend all BSO meetings
