What is the Interfraternity Council?

The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the governing body of the seven Fraternities on campus. IFC coordinates various Greek-sponsored and Greek-exclusive events, as well as implements the rules and regulations of the Greek community and the University. The Council collaborates with other student organizations such as the Panhellenic Council, Residence Hall Association, and Mines Activities Council, to name a few. In addition to providing a great opportunity for leadership development for its executive board members and delegates, the Council strives to promote and exemplify the tenets of Brotherhood.

Is Greek Life For You?

The Greek organizations at the Colorado School of Mines recognize the need for, and emphasize the acquisition of, academic competence as well as social interaction and leadership skills. These are major components of success. Greek organizations provide an instantaneous support network that substantially curbs the transition period from high school to college. From social events and philanthropic endeavors to Intramural athletics, the Mines Greek Community sets the stage for an individual to excel via a team effort. Whether or not you think Greek Life is for you, the challenge is now put before you to confirm or deny your initial opinions by looking at the Greek Community at CSM with an open mind. The doors of each Fraternity are always open and the Fraternity men are always proud to answer questions about their Greek experience.
