Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), is a student chapter of SPE International, which is a professional organization that serves the oil and gas industry. Our student chapter of 275+ members works with oil and gas companies to extend our knowledge and network with industry members.
This program provides CSM Alumni and SPE Members a means to make a contribution to Mines students. Share your expertise and knowledge to enhance your mentee’s professional and personal growth!

Interested in hosting a Lunch & Learn?
Please contact our Logistics Officer, Chenyang Wang at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a Lunch & Learn today!
Why should I join?
SPE is the largest, international, individual-member organization in the upstream side of the oil and gas industry. Joining SPE gives you the opportunity to start build connections with peers in industry. We hold regular Lunch & Learns hosted by various companies and organizations who share their knowledge and expertise with students here on campus. We also hold a number of other events such as mock interviews, our annual Clayshoot, and special technical workshops.
This year we will be handling membership fees and registration through CashNet instead of collecting it through the PE office.
STEP 1: Pay your CSM-SPE dues.
Please use your Mines email address when registering, this will expedite your verification process. https://commerce.cashnet.com/STUACT
STEP 2: Register for FREE with SPE-International.
As a university student, SPE-I dues are sponsored by Chevron! You just need to select the FREE option under Dues when you register. You can register at http://www.spe.org/join/
