What is SSG?

The goal of the Society of Student Geophysicists (SSG), is to promote interest in, and knowledge of, the sciences of geophysics and allied sciences, and to promote friendship and cooperation among those interested in the geophysical sciences. We are affiliated with the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) and the Colorado School of Mines. We typically have meetings every other Friday at noon in the Green Center.

Why should you join?

SSG offers an educational, friendly environment where like-minded people can help each other thrive.  Also, it looks great on resumes and who knows? Maybe the professionals that you meet along the way can help you even get a job.  If you want a future in geophysics, want to meet fellow geophysicists, or just learn what geophysics actually is stop on by!

How can you get involved?
